Interim Manager, Program Development
Facilities Overview Located in southwestern Saskatchewan, Mosaic Place opened in August 2011 and is a 200,000 square foot facility featuring an entertainment/sports bowl, an 8 sheet curling club, conference centre and future retail space. Bowl seating is 4,465 for hockey spectators and 5000+ for events & concerts. The bowl also features 21 private suites and 132 club seats. The curling facility features locker rooms and a spacious loft social area overlooking the ice surface. YaraCentre has attracted impressive attendance since opening its doors November 2010. The 120,000 square foot facility boasts a national size soccer turf surface (60m x 100m); currently home to local sports associations including soccer, touch football, lacrosse, fast pitch & ultimate frisbee, a 365m walking track and is also home to YaraCentre Fitness.
Position OverviewReporting to the General Manager, the Interim Manager – Program Development is responsible for the development of the facility’s rental & reservation system, including but not limited to, coordinating, scheduling, maintaining of all contracts & agreements and invoicing for all facility events & rentals.
Candidates are required to have;
Facility programming experience, preferably in a management or scheduling capacity
Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, recreation or a related field is preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Class (facility reservation system)
- Ability to clearly and effectively express oneself through written means, i.e. business letters, e-mails and reports
- Proven ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality when handling sensitive materials and information
- Skilled at modifying plans, actions and decisions in light of changing situations and circumstances
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships with community partners and user groups
- Create and present formal contracts and agreements to various user groups
- Respond to guest concerns in a timely manner
- Work with the General Manager, Directors and promoters to secure a wide range of facility events, in order to maximize revenue opportunities and provide a mix of recreation, entertainment and tradeshow events
- Manage the annual budget and financial requirements of the programming function
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to the company’s health & safety policies
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills

Located in southwestern Saskatchewan, Moose Jaw’s Mosaic Place is a 210,000 square foot facility featuring an entertainment/sports bowl where many thrilling events are held. There is also an 8 sheet curling club, and distinct meeting areas including a large banquet room. Bowl seating is 4,465 for hockey spectators and 5000+ for events & concerts.
Position Overview
Mosaic Place is currently seeking casual on-call employees in its Operations Department. Successful candidates will be engaged in tasks that are physically demanding such as, but not limited to lifting, pushing and pulling objects.
You will report to Operations Supervisors assigned to Mosaic Place events and provide logistical assistance in regards to the following:
- Placement of chairs for concert and special events
- Stage construction and tear-down
- Conference area table and chair placements
Shifts will be a minimum of three hours and at various hours due to the nature of Mosaic Place’s activities. Instruction will be given regarding proper set up methods of the specialized equipment utilized at Mosaic Place. You must be able to work well with limited supervision and/or within a team.
Candidates are required to have;
- An understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations and safety policies established by the facility
- Ability to deal courteously, effectively and tactfully with the general public and building vendors
- This position is as a “position of trust” and successful applicants will be required to provide a Criminal Records Check
